It’s about time we started to update you all on a regular basis. A lot’s happened over the past few years, and to be honest, we’ve been so busy trying to catch up with the success that Elite Kids Coaching has given us, that we haven’t really had the time to do anything like this. Yes, we send out emails, but we want to get into the habit of writing an update blog article once a month. So here it is. The first one.
This year’s already zipping by. It’s May already and we’re into the last term of this academic year. Our camps have been chock full in the February half-term and at Easter, and they’re filling up for the summer too. We’re making new partnerships with new venues and we’re moving further afield.
It’s brilliant, it’s exciting and we’re loving it!
The team we’ve got is growing steadily in line with our popularity and growth. It’s made up of people from various backgrounds and different disciplines, which is great because it means that we can cope with any situation that might arise. We’ve some gnarly old (only kidding) pros and young go-getters from the worlds of rugby and football. And because a lot of our guys and gals come from team backgrounds, we have a wish-list of future EKC members just waiting to come on board.
Our aims are simple. We want to offer the best training sessions for children that we can. To achieve this, we double staff all of our sessions with people who are at once good with the kids, knowledgeable in the subject matter and hugely experienced with the training methods that we employ. This ensures that they get the most out of each session and each of the kids, and also that each of the kids gets the most out of every session. They also make sure everyone has as much fun as possible, which in itself guarantees that each child benefits 100% from each session.
We run our sessions in local schools and colleges during term times. Actually, some of the schools and colleges are becoming less local as the word spreads! During holidays, we run performance camps with all sorts of pastimes involved, such as rugby, football, ball sports, games, dance, gymnastics, performing arts, arts and crafts and survival. We also offer swimming in camps that have the necessary facilities.
We think that what we’re doing makes a difference to communities. It gets kids away from console screens and into structured play, which is what we as parents had when we were their age (when we weren’t messing up farmers’ fields). You’ll also know where they are and what they’re doing!
Elite Kids Coaching is also proud to announce the new Elite Multi-Sports Academy, which is aimed to provide children aged 3-12 years with the ability to take part in new sports and learn new skills. Our outstanding coaches will teach over 26 different sports all at one convenient venue (The Hut, Airedale) and at one convenient time (Saturdays, 9:00am – noon). Even better, your first session is FREE!! So why not come down and see what it’s about?
One now for the adults. We’re opening our Elite Health & Wellbeing, a fun friendly environment that offers people the chance to take part in a whole host of classes to help people to lead a healthier lifestyle. If you like things such as YOGA or DANCE FIT, or even if you fancy challenging yourself to do an 8 WEEK CHALLENGE (plus much more) then Elite Health & Wellbeing is for you!!
So if your kids are at a loose end during the holidays (or you’re at your wits’ end), have a look and see if there are any Elite Kids Coaching camps in your area. If not, you need to chivvy your local club or school to get them involved. We’re doing our best to help local communities but we can’t do it without you. Individually we’ll get there, but together we’re better.
